2016 Tournament Results

RESULTS - 2016 SENIOR NET CHAMPIONSHIP

This year's Senior Net Championship was held on Saturday, May 21. Although the forecast showed possible rain, the weather turned out to be very pleasant for the field of 109 golfers. There were six flights based on the age of golfers, flight 1 representing the younger golfers up through flight 6 as the oldest. Scoring was individual low net.

The winners of the six flights, each of which will be presented with a nice trophy at the Annual Luncheon in October, are:

Flight 1: Bill Drabik - 62
Flight 2: Geoff Gault - 68
Flight 3: Bob Maass - 67
Flight 4: Michael Kelley - 69
Flight 5: Rick Ricksecker - 64
Flight 6: Jim Danielski - 68

2016 Spring Open Tournament Results

The Spring Open tournament was held on Saturday, April 16.  A field of 92 players turned out on a nice warm, sunny day.  The golf course, as has been the case recently, was in excellent condition.  The format was a mixer - players signed up individually and the pro shop made up the foursomes using A,B,C,D handicaps, one each assigned to every foursome.  This assured each foursome of roughly the same total handicap, and also gave the players a chance to meet and play with new people. Scoring was on a Stableford basis, best two balls counting on each hole.

The tournament was also the first Player of the Year tournament, conducted on the basis of individual scoring (see below for POTY standings ).

Flight Two:      Steve Wrigglesworth, Dick Fisher, Bob Denike, Lin Maltbie            100

2016 St. Patrick's Day Tournament Results

The St. Patrick's Day tournament was held on Saturday March 12, 2016
with 88 golfers enjoying a rather cool and blustery "Irish" golf day.

The President's Day tournament was held on Saturday February 17th with 96 golfers enjoying a beautiful, sunny Villages day, after a somewhat cool start.
